Overtime isn't typically welcomed in NBA exhibition games, but Devyn Marble embraced it Tuesday night and made it his.
The rookie guard from Iowa scored eight of his 13 points in the overtime of his Orlando Magic team's 108-101 win over the Miami Heat in the Magic's exhibition-opener in Miami.
Marble made two 3-pointers in overtime. He didn't even enter the game until midway through the fourth quarter.
His stat line: 14 minutes, 4-of-5 FG, 3-4 3-point FG, 2-2 FT, 2 assists, 0 turnovers. Watch the game highlights, including a Marble three-pointer in overtime, here.
That's a good start. Orlando's next game is Friday at Indiana.
Here's a recent Orlando Sentinel story on Magic Coach Jacque Vaughn talking about Marble.
