David Woolever Rogers, 83, died Monday, June 3, 2024.
He is survived by his brother Fred (Gayle) Rogers, sister Ann (Jim) Ridenour, his “adopted” brother Mac Nelson, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John.
David grew up in Catonsville, Maryland. He graduated with a BA from Washington College on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and an MA in Art History from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
Following a tour in Germany where he helped Hungarian escapees with their plans to flee the Russians, Dave began a long and varied career in art, painting in New Mexico, Arizona, Iowa, and even Argentina.
A celebration of life will be held at Ecumenical Towers on July 7 at 2 PM.
