Danelle Renae Stowell, 43, of Victor, died on May 27, 2021, at her home with her family by her side after a year-long courageous battle with pancreatic and liver cancer.
Visitation with the Stowell family
present will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, at the church.
A Celebration of Life service has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, at St. James Lutheran Church in Victor, with the Rev. Michael Kolesar officiating. Honorary bearers will be Quincie Smith, Raegen and Keenyn Stowell, and Kasyn and Anistyn VandeBerg.
A burial service will follow at Victor Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Stowell family, which will be designated to a memorial in Danelle's honor.
Danelle was born on July 20, 1977, in Grinnell, the daughter of Dan and Diane Jack Stowell. She was raised in Victor and was a 1996 graduate of HLV High School.
Danelle was employed for Pride of Iowa, a food processing plant, and later with ABM Janitorial Services in Cedar Rapids. Most recently, she worked at Hy-Vee in Cedar Rapids.
Danelle held a great love and compassion for her family; she enjoyed attending her nieces and nephews activities. Camping, bowling and diamond painting were a few of her hobbies, and she enjoyed attending remote control racing events with her boyfriend, Chris (Kit). She was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Survivors include her parents, Dan and Diane Stowell of Victor; two siblings, Michelle (Nick) VandeBerg of Amana and Scott (Heather) Stowell of Victor; her boyfriend, Chris (Kit) Jones; five nieces and nephews, Quincie Smith, Raegen and Keenyn Stowell, and Kasyn and Anistyn VandeBerg; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by many loved ones.
