CR's Costello 50th in final NHL rankings

Winger Jeff Costello of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders is ranked 50th among North American skaters on NHL Central Scouting's final pre-draft amateur rankings.
Costello, 18, moved up from 89th in the midterm rankings. The Notre Dame recruit finished the USHL regular season with 24 goals and nine assists in 54 games.
He is the only RoughRider in the final rankings. There are 26 USHL players ranked, led by Chicago defenseman John Moore (6th among North American skaters) and Fargo's Mike Lee (4th among North American goaltenders). Omaha forward Louis Leblanc is 13th among North American skaters.
