Dave Wilgenbusch of Cedar Rapids fills a crate with sweet corn as he and other volunteers to husk approximately 25,000 ears of sweet corn in preparation for the 2013 St. Jude Sweet Corn Festival on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is the 38th year for the church fundraiser. As many as 200 volunteers are removing the husks and silk from the ears of corn. Forty-five gallons of butter will be used during the three-day event.
