A 31-year-old Coralville man has been arrested on charges of second degree criminal mischief in connection to the destruction of nearly $2,275 worth of his then-girlfriend's property on May 27.
Reports indicate that Brent A. Kendall, of 606 Fairchild Street, allegedly used a knife to cut up approximately 25 articles of the woman's clothing, breaking picture frames and throwing her purse on the grill with photos and setting them on fire. Kendall is also accused of urinating on the woman's bed and computer.
Kendall was being held at the Johnson County Jail on a $7,500 bond Wednesday morning. He posted and was released.
Second degree criminal mischief is a class D felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a $7,500 maximum fine.
