He spent his life doing what he loved—farming and raising Black Angus cattle on the land he cherished. On October 17, 1948, he married Hazel Alden in Troy Mills, beginning a partnership full of love, shared adventures, and unwavering support.
He found joy in the outdoors, enjoying activities such as deer hunting, fishing, and searching for morel mushrooms and Indian artifacts. Despite a fear of heights, he proudly earned his pilot's license and enjoyed flying locally, often marveling at the land he knew so well from above. Known for his practical jokes, he brought laughter and light-heartedness wherever he went. He and Hazel shared a passion for travel, but his greatest joy was always the time spent with his family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Clarence leaves behind a legacy of dedication, humility, and love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters, Nadine (Steven) Smith, Marlene (Dennis) Mills; special friend, Arlene Zabokrtsky; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Miller; sister-in-law, Kathyrn Joyce; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Hazel; daughter, Norma Johnson; brother, Marvin Joyce; and sister, Jane Anne Grayston Luce.
