Cetera to head Freedom Fest concert

CEDAR RAPIDS - Peter Cetera, voice of the legendary rock band Chicago, will headline the Freedom Festival's Classic Rock Concert Night on June 18 at Kirkwood Community College.

The event begins at 7 p.m. Opening performer is Jimi Jamison, former lead singer of Survivor.

Tickets go on sale April 23 at the Freedom Festival office, 226 Second St. SE, and www.freedomfestival.com Cost is $20 for preferred seating, $15 for adult general admission and $5 youth general admission.

Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Peter Cetera had solo hits with “The Glory of Love,” “The Next Time I Fall,” “Feels Like Heaven,” “Restless Heart” and “After All.”

As the voice, songwriter and bass player for Chicago, he scored hits with “If You Leave Me Now,” “You're the Inspiration,” “Stay the Night” and “Feeling Stronger Every Day.”
