Angels sign top pick

Lamar, Texas, high school outfielder Randal Grichuk has signed a contract with the Los Angeles Angels.
The Angels' top pick in the first-year MLB player draft a couple of weeks ago, Grichuk agreed to a deal with a signing bonus of $1.225 million.
You'd figure Grichuk would make it to Cedar Rapids sometimes in the 2011 season. That's if the Angels and Kernels agree to another extension of their Player Development Contract (snicker, snicker).
Grichuk is supposed to have a lot of power. If you've watched the Kernels play much in recent seasons, that's a refreshing change.
