By Amy Shalla: At 6:15 that morning, I was very excited because I was heading to Mercy Hospital to deliver my third son.
On the way to the hospital we discussed how easy it would be to remember his birthday 9/11. Little did we know that a few hours later other events would make it a day that no one in our country would ever forget.
In between pushes, I watched the terrible events unfold. That was a day of mixed emotions for our family. We were so excited and happy to have Trey Christopher here, very sad for all the victims and their families, and scared to know what would or could happen next.
