Donald Wegmann and the former Lavonne Johnston were married October 29, 1960, at St. Pius Church in Cherry Mound. They have lived and farmed in the Manchester area for the past 50 years.
They have three daughters: Carol (Brooks) Sherman of Leawood, KS, Becky (Jeff) McGraw of Cedar Rapids, and Kathy (Tom) Quinlan of Delmar. Grandchildren include: Nick and Alex Goedken, Hank Sherman, Zach and Shannon McGraw, and Ashley and Luke Quinlan.
Don and Lavonne will celebrate their golden anniversary with a family dinner and celebration.
