Today, September 27th, 2015, the two of you are celebrating 40 years as husband and wife. It's difficult, if not impossible, to offer words that do any justice to the significance of what this milestone means to our family. How can we thank you enough for the love you've shown each other, the foundation on which character and integrity have been built, and the reason your children leapt confidently and excitedly

into loving marriages and families of our own? On this day, and from all of us, please accept a very heartfelt thank you for setting the bar high and showing us what marriage is and is not, could and should look like, and for clearly defining the roles that help all of us in our

understanding of commitment, compassion and grace between a husband and wife.

From your sons and daughters, not to mention a boatload of grandkids, thank you and

congratulations.

May God continue to bless you with the

opportunity to solve the world's problems over morning cups of coffee for many years to come, and may you know how grateful we all are for it.
