Dick and Sandy Shoemaker will celebrate their
50th wedding anniversary with an open house at The Flamingo Event Center on Saturday, November 2 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to attend.
Dick and Sandy Shoemaker were married at Olivet Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids on January 9, 1975. After marring, Dick served in the United States Army and then attended Iowa State University before the couple returned to Cedar Rapids to raise their three sons.
The couple retired in 2022 and now focus on volunteering and spending time with their grandchildren.
