CEDAR RAPIDS - Miriam and Don Shipman of Cedar Rapids will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in Springfield, MO over the Labor Day week. Hosts of the celebration will be their son, Dr. Wade Shipman, and family; daughter, Leslee Grabe and family; and son, Todd Shipman.
The former Miriam Walthall and Don Shipman were married July 31, 1949, at Friends Church in Vermilion Grove, IL. Allen Reynolds presided over the ceremony.
Their three children are, Dr. Wade Shipman, and wife, Shanne, of Springfield, MO; Leslee Grabe of Frederick, MO; and Todd Shipman of Minneapolis, MN. Their three grandchildren are, Dustin Grabe, Megan Grabe, and Cara Shipman.
