Seabrookes' 60th Anniversary

Janann (Jan) and Alan (Al) Seabrooke of Elgin, IA, celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on June 2. The Seabrookes were married on June 2, 1957, at Marion Lutheran Church in the small northeast Iowa community of Gunder in Clayton County. Jan is the daughter of the late Kenneth and Georgia Mork. Al's parents are the late

Arthur and Henrietta Seabrooke. Jan is a lifelong resident of the Elgin community and graduated from high schoo in Elgin in 1953. Al grew up in

Cedar Rapids and is a January 1948 graduate of Roosevelt High School. They moved to the Elgin area in 1957 and taught school in the Valley

Community School District until retirement in 1991. The couple has two children, Jill Mack, Earville, IA, and Tim Seabrooke of Elgin; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. They plan to have a family gathering at a later date.
