Newmeister 70th Wedding Anniversary

Lumir and Norma Newmeister celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary during the weekend of April 29. They were married in Cedar Rapids on the 28th of April, 1946, and have lived in the community since their marriage. They recently moved from their home of 68 years to The Manor at Meth-Wick.

Nineteen family members traveled to Cedar Rapids to join in the celebration, which included a Saturday night dinner and a Sunday Brunch. Attending were son John and wife Marcia of Tulsa, OK, and daughter Julie Newman of Bixby, OK; son Michael and wife Gayla of Eagle River, WI, their son Troy and wife

Amanda, and their children Eleanor and Lillian of Waukesha, WI, and their son Nate and friend Katherine Timm of Pewaukee, WI; son Jeffrey and his wife Becky of Eldridge, IA, their daughter Shea Taulbee and husband Nic of Kansas City, MO, and their daughter Chelsea Liske and husband Kurt and their children Sawyer and Eliza of Davenport, IA. Unable to attend were John's daughter Joy Flanagan, husband Sean and their daughter Iyla of London, England, and Julie's husband Joe Newman and their son Jackson.
