Bill and Kay (Hasselbusch) Leighty were married on June 11, 1961 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence, IA.
They now live in Tipton, IA. Bill managed the DX Gas Station in Tipton for ten years then worked at the Ford Dealership for thirty years. Kay taught 3rd grade in Cedar Rapids for one year and 2nd grade in Tipton for 38 years.
