James and Barbara Barr 50th Wedding Anniversary

Jim and Barb Barr celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 3, 2017. Jim and the former Barb Paulsen were married on April 3, 1967, at Lovely Lane United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids with Rev. Boom officiating. Their attendants were Sheila and Bud Baker, sister and brother-in-law of the bride.

They were blessed with three children: Brent Barr of Van Horne; Bryan Barr and wife Kelly of Keystone; and Bridget Barr of Van Horne. They have two very special grandsons: Noah Barr and Nash Barr of

Keystone. The couple reside in Van Horne, where Barb retired from the Chelsea Savings Bank in 2009 and now assists Jim with operating the family business, Barr & Sons Electric, Plumbing & Heating. The couple will celebrate with a family dinner at their favorite dining establishment, Ced-Rel Supper Club.
