Cedar Rapids - Sharon Carmody-Holmes and Bob Holmes of Cedar Rapids celebrated their

40th wedding anniversary on Aug. 3, 2019, with a party at their home for family and friends.

They were married on Aug. 4, 1979, beside the Iowa River on the Danforth Chapel grounds of the University of Iowa.
