They were united in marriage February 4, 1961 at the First Methodist Church in Iowa City.
Together they have three sons, Jim, Steve, and John Heal. They also have nine grandchildren, Aaron, Amanda, Rachel, Derik, Ashley, Elizabeth, Dennis, Emily, & Stevie, and three great grandchildren, Faith, Mercedes, & Bentley.
