John and Mary Jane McWilliams, of Mount Vernon, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 24, 2024. They were married in Emmetsburg, Iowa, and have two daughters; Maggie (Scott) Noll and Betsy (Chris) Brown and five grandchildren; Katie, Josh, Marcus Noll and Evelyn and Meredith Brown.
