Franklin were married on July 30, 1977 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairieburg, IA. They have three children, Brandon (Diana) Franklin, Japheth (Andrea) Franklin and Adrianna (Ryan) Steward. They have one grandson, Asher Franklin.
