Jean and Walt Hammill will celebrate 40 years of marriage with an open house Saturday, August 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. at their home: 3105 28th Avenue, Marion. Friends and family are invited. The couple requests no gifts. Walt Hammill and the former Jean Pohlmann were married August 15, 1970. Their children are Rob and wife, Sara Hammill, of Waynesboro, VA, and Kim and husband, Matt Gregorich, of Anamosa, IA. They have two grandchildren, Jackson and Emma.
