Goodman will celebrate their 50th

Anniversary on September 8th, 2014.

They were married in Iowa City, IA in 1964.

Sandra worked for many years at Hamburg Inn and Oral B Labs. Howard "Shorty" worked for many years for the Iowa City Schools with most of his service being at

Iowa City City High. They are both enjoying retirement now.

They are the parents of Pam of Iowa City,

Sherrie (Mark) Kimbrough of Rochester, PA and John (Jennifer) Goodman of Washington, IA. They have six grandchildren: Derek (Alexis Fernandez) Gardner of Houston, TX, Hayden Kimbrough of Rochester, PA,

Chelsea (John Harman) and Taylor McClelland of Iowa City, and Melissa and Megan Lothridge of Washington, IA. They have two great-grandchildren: Brooke and Cayden Gardner of Houston, TX. The

couple also has some special 4-paw grandchildren: Harley, Pepper, Lucky and Gunner.

The couple will celebrate with a family

dinner on Saturday, August 30th, and an Open House from 2 - 4 on Sunday, August 31st, in Shelter #8 in the Iowa City Lower City Park.
