The former Shirley McConnell and Paul Erickson were united in marriage on April 28, 1946 in Cedar Rapids.
The couple has three children: David (Judi) of Ft. Myers, FL, Robert (deceased), and Julianne (Dale) of Hiawatha, IA. They have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
