Doris (Arnold) and Irwin Renfer were married June 9, 1946 in Springville United Methodist Church. They resided in Marion, where Doris was a teacher, and they owned and operated Renfer's Shoe Store and Irwin's Clothing Store for many years.
Their family consists of Ronald (Frances), Jan (Martin Schuhmacher), and Marcia (Andy Zimmermann), Ventura, CA. They have seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
They moved in 2008 to Keystone Place in Cedar Rapids.
