70 Years of Devotion for

Dr. Lynn and Ruth Crow

Dr. Lynn and Ruth Crow celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Sept. 8, 2021. The

former Miss Ruth L. Bingham of Chariton,

married Iowa City native Lynn H. Crow on Sept. 8, 1951 at the Church of the Nazarene in Chariton, IA. The two met when Lynn's quartet group sang at the church. After the wedding, they took a motor trip to Council Bluffs.

The couple resided in Iowa City while Lynn

finished schooling and graduated from the

University of Iowa in 1952. While stationed in the Army, they lived in Baltimore, MD and later moved to St. Louis, MO where he finished schooling. The couple returned to Iowa City in 1957 and have resided here ever since. As a chiropractor in Iowa City, Dr. Crow ran his

business from his home office, serving the

citizens of the community for 45 years before retiring from the profession in 2002. Mrs. Crow, a founding member of the Iowa City Area Christian Women's Club in 1967, celebrated 54 years as a long serving member since its

inception. They have touched many lives throughout these last seven decades.

Lynn and Ruth are the parents of three

children. Two daughters, Linda and Karen, have gone on to be with the Lord. Son Steven and his wife reside in Iowa City. They are the proud grandparents of three boys, and even prouder great-grandparents to two boys and three girls.

They always have lived strong in their faith and in the belief of family. Thanks to their

remarkable marriage, through their deep faith and devotion to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they have shown how to live through

trials, success, growth, humor, and enduring love, which is an example and roadmap for the rest of the family to follow.
