65th Wedding Anniversary

Roger and Lois Huggins were married on March 25, 1960 in Basel, Switzerland. The couple met in Europe, where Roger served as an Air Force fighter pilot and Lois was a teacher for the Department of Defense schools. Roger is originally from Elkader, IA, and graduated from Coe College and the University of Iowa, while Lois is from Worcester, MA, and graduated from Worcester State Teachers College. Roger retired from Kirkwood Community College and Lois from Cedar Rapids public schools. They lived in Cedar Rapids from 1968 until 2022 and now live in Norwood, MA near their daughter. They have three children, Jeff (Charlene) of Arlington, VA, Jane (Frank) Danehy of Norwood, MA, and Jon (Catherine) of Newport, RI. They have seven grandchildren, Charles, Philip, Katherine, Ellen, Erik, Laura and Jack.
