Joe and Delaine Gruman will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Legion Hall in Lamont. Joe and Delaine (Wernke) were married on Dec. 27, 1969, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Strawberry Point. Their sons and daughters-in-law are: Jim (Lisa), Bill (Sandra), Frank (Leslie), Dan (Lisa), Peter Tracy), Charlie (Cassie), Andy (Lori) and Sam (Hope). They have 22 grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and one great-grandson.
