Solon returns home with first state track title

DES MOINES - On a day where both its teams won their first-ever state track titles, only Solon's boys were able to bring home the hardware.
The Spartan girls shared the Class 2A title with Gilbert, and the athletic association had only one trophy to give out. A coin flip decided which team got to leave Drake Stadium with it on the team bus.
