2011 Winter Iowa Games Coming to Eastern Iowa

The Iowa Sports Foundation announced that registration is open for the 2011 Winter Iowa Games. Sports will be held over the course of four weekends in January and February. Dubuque will play host to the majority of sports and Opening Ceremony, January 28-30. Online registration and registration forms are available at www.iowagames.org.

The 2011 Winter Iowa Games will hold competitions for 19 different sports. Adult men's basketball, broomball, dodgeball, figure skating, and adult ice hockey will be held in Cedar Rapids on February 11-13. The 2010 Games set a participation record with 4,135 athletes. As Iowa's premier winter sports festival, the Games will be held in 10 different Iowa communities over the four week period.
