Drahozal picks Upper Iowa

CEDAR RAPIDS - Xavier High School all-state pitcher Erin Drahozal has committed to play softball at Upper Iowa University.
Drahozal, a senior, was 19-4 with a 1.97 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 146 innings last summer as Xavier went 33-7 and won the MVC Valley Division title.
She also batted .492 with 11 home runs and 18 doubles, driving in 53 runs.
