Cedar Rapids Xavier AD Steve Lueck resigns after 5 months
CEDAR RAPIDS - Steve Lueck has resigned as activities director at Xavier High Schoool, just months after taking the position.
'We thank Mr. Lueck for his service to Xavier and wish him well,” Principal Tom Keating wrote in a three-sentence news release. 'A search for a new activities director will begin immediately.”
No reason was given for the resignation.
Lueck succeeded Mike Winker, who had been Xavier's only AD since the school's opening in 1998, beginning his short tenure in July.
A native of Dyersville, he was principal and activities director at Storm Lake St. Mary's before accepting the Xavier post.
