Local, state players on NBA summer league rosters

Nine men's basketball players with state ties currently are listed on NBA summer-league roster as of Tuesday afternoon.
The players include Iowa guard Devyn Marble (Orlando), Iowa State players Jameel McKay (New Orleans), Georges Niang (Indiana) and Abdel Nader (Boston), North Carolina/Linn-Mar guard Marcus Paige (Utah) and Northern Iowa/Cedar Rapids Washington guard Wes Washpun (Los Angeles Clippers).
Tuesday, former Iowa players Jarrod Uthoff and Adam Woodbury were named to the Sacramento Kings summer-league roster. Former Iowa forward Aaron White will participate for Washington. The Kings and Wizards are among 24 teams that compete in Las Vegas starting Friday.
Marble has played in two games and averaged 27 minutes, 10.5 points, 3.0 steals, 1.5 rebounds, 2.0 turnovers and 1.0 assists. He had 12 points against Indiana.
Niang averages 11.5 points in two games with 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 4.0 turnovers. He put up 17 points against Orlando. Nader has scored three points in one game. McKay has not played.
Washpun averages 21 minutes, 5.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 turnovers, 1.0 assists in two games for the Clippers. He scored eight points against the Miami Heat.
In one game, Paige played 18 minutes, scored seven points, recorded three turnovers and one assist against the San Antonio Spurs.
