DES MOINES -- Linn-Mar's Josh Evans set a state-meet record and took home the 3200-meter title on Thursday morning. But part of him was still lamenting a lack of mental toughness after he finished less than a second short of breaking the 9:00 barrier.
Cedar Rapids Prairie's Mitch Pritts took second place with a time of 9:12.07, and Linn-Mar's Daniel Murphy joined his teammate Evans in the top three with a 9:12.46 finish.
