Finn, Betty K.
Betty K. Finn, 62, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, March 23, 2012, in her home following a courageous battle with cancer. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Teahen Funeral Home, where friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m.
Betty is survived by her husband, Larry; daughters, Angela (Joe) Dougherty of Cedar Rapids, Julie (Dan) Weber of Fairfax, Stacy (Jack) Kostanyan of Pasadena, Calif., and Trisha Finn of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Trae, Haley, Jake, Willow, Madden, Maci, Bella, Taren and Josie; her mother, Jean Martin of Anamosa; sisters, Jeannie (Bob) Simanek of Anamosa and Nancy (Al) Holmes of Benton City, Wash.; and brother-in-law, Don (Gail) Finn of Cedar Rapids.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, William; and brothers, Billy and Bob.
Betty Kay Finn was born Feb. 7, 1950, in New Hampton, the daughter of William and Jean (Isreal) Martin. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School. Betty worked as a postal worker for 36 years, retiring in 2009.
She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and her grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Mercy.
