Pizano, Lisa Marie
Lisa Marie Pizano, 36, of 985 Valleyview Dr., Marion, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at her home from complications of breast cancer. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Oakland Church of the Nazarene, Cedar Rapids,
by Pastor David King. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion and one hour before services Saturday at the church. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Franco; two children, Jacob and Jasmine, both at home; her father, Don Simmon of Orion, Ill.; her mother, Renee Simmon (Al Meyer) of Rock Island, Ill.; brother, Chris Simmon (Allyson Porter) of Plainfield, Ill.; maternal grandmother, Ann Goulet of Coal Valley, Ill.; and many other loving family members.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Allan Simmon, Virginia Anderson, and Robert Goulet.
Lisa was born June 11, 1975, in Rock Island, Ill., the daughter of Don Simmon and Renee Goulet. She graduated from Orion High School in Orion, Ill. On Sept. 8, 1995, Lisa was united in marriage to Franco Pizano in Rock Island. She attended Kaplan University, where she received her LPN degree. She then received her RN degree from Kirkwood and worked at Mercy Birthcenter, and later at BioLife Plasma Services.
Lisa was a member of Oakland Church of the Nazarene, where she enjoyed Women's Bible Studies.
Lisa was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She had many friends and was always most proud of her relationship with her family and Jesus. Lisa touched many lives in many different ways and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
