Alyce M. Buschmann, 97, of Greeley, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester.
She was born Feb. 4, 1917, in Greeley, the daughter of Lester and Marguerite (Work) Pilgrim. Alyce was raised in the area, and was a 1934 graduate of Greeley Consolidated School and attended Upper Iowa University for a year.
Alyce worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago, where she met Fred P. Buschmann and was united in marriage to him on March 16, 1946, in Chicago. Together they went to Alaska for six years, moving to Iowa after son Peter was born.
Alyce was an active volunteer with Camp Courageous, Greeley Meal Site, Greeley Methodist Church and the Greeley Community Church.
Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
Survivors include one son, Peter (Jill) Buschmann of Greeley; two grandchildren, Gretchen (Dan) Chapman of Clarence and Michael (Heather) Buschmann of Seattle,Wash.; five great-grandchildren, Ben, Kiley and Blake Chapman and Clara and Darby Buschmann; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alyce was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Fred.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Greeley Community Church, with Pastor Peter Buschmann. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Edgewood is assisting the family with arrangements.
