Conklin, Lisa Lewis
Lisa Lewis Conklin, 53, passed away Aug. 20, 2011, at her home in Sunrise, Fla., from complications of Huntington's disease. Please join us in celebrating Lisa's life in a prayer service on Sunday, Aug. 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Blessed John XXIII Catholic Church, 3104 80th St. SW, Cedar Rapids.
Lisa was born May 30, 1958, in Ottumwa, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lewis. She attended College Community Schools and worked as a substance abuse counselor.
Surviving are longtime companion, Vicky Fraser; her mother, Mary Ann Lewis; sisters, Lynnette (Dennis) Gusta and Leslie (Jim) Hagen of Fairfax; brothers, Drew (Lois) of Muskego, Wis., Darren (Patti) of Illinois, Dana of Cedar Rapids and Derek (Lynn) of Fairfax; stepmother, JoAnn Lewis; nieces and nephews.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, William and Madeline Besser; uncle, William V. Besser; and stepfather, Roy Heiden.
