Victoria Michelle Ekwall, 32, of Coralville, was arrested on charges of child endangerment on Friday.
Coralville police were alerted of the incidents which allegedly occurred in March and April by Ekwall's twelve-year-old daughter. The girl told officers that Ekwall had given her a schedule I and a Schedule II narcotic and had allowed her to use them in her presence, Coralville police said.
According to police reports, Ekwall also allegedly tried to force the girl to shave her head in order to hide possible evidence of drug use in her hair follicles.
Child endangerment without injury is an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison and a $6,250 fine.
Ekwall was being held at the Johnson County Jail on a $5,000 cash only bond Tuesday afternoon.
