Cynthia R. Scott, 62, died at her home in Center Point on Sept. 28, 2016.
She was born Feb. 24, 1954, in DeWitt. She graduated from high school in Moline, Ill., in 1972. She earned a B.A. degree from Mount Mercy in 1992 and a M.A. degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Iowa in 1994. She retired in 2011 from Rockwell Collins, where she was a test technician.
Mrs. Scott is survived by her husband, Mike; a daughter, Michelle (Lee Johnson) Scott of Swisher; three sons, Nicholas (Sarah) Scott and Lucas (Megan Smith) Scott, both of Cedar Rapids, and Brandon (Taylor) Scott of Center Point; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Joe (Theresa) Dunn of Camanche, Brian (Amy) Sheridan of Walcott and Archie Rose of Moline, Ill.; and four sisters, Kathie Reisdorph of Grand Island, Neb., Cheryl (Melvin) Six of Fairview Heights, Ill., Lori Brice of San Antonio, Texas, and Arlette Crowe of Moline, Ill.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at White Funeral Home in Independence. Burial: Wilson Cemetery, Independence. Friends may call for visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at the funeral home.
