Eleanor (Mrs. Earl) Stratton, 93, of Tiffin died at her home Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at Grace United Methodist Church in Tiffin, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery near Tiffin. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Eleanor's memory to Grace United Methodist Church or Iowa City Hospice. Eleanor L. Roshek was born May 25, 1918, in rural Johnson County, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Ludvichek) Rosek. She was united in marriage to Earl Stratton on Feb. 10, 1938. The couple farmed for many years southwest of Tiffin, later moving into town. Eleanor loved caring for her family as wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother,

Her family includes her children, Leroy (Kay) Stratton of Clinton, Tenn., Ronnie (Claudette) Stratton of Oxford, Karen (Cleo) Beckler of Tiffin, and Larry (Carrie) Stratton, also of Tiffin; grandchildren, Dennis Stratton, Dan Stratton, David (Ginger) Stratton, Craig (Rosemary) Stratton, Kris (Jim) Schropp, Scott Stratton, Eric Stratton, Marty (Renee) Beckler, Curt (Diane) Beckler, Dawn (Jeff) Bair, Cindy (Monte) Kasper, and Clint (Jessica) Stratton; and great-grandchildren, Hannah Stratton, Kimberly Stratton, Andy Stratton, Shania Schropp, Randi Schropp, Dalton Beckler, Colton Beckler, Payton Beckler, Curran Beckler, Megan Beckler, Chloe Beckler, Delaney Bair, Brayton Bair, Travis Kasper, Heather Kasper, Paxton Oxley, Faith Stratton, Gracen Stratton and Ellie Stratton.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl (8/24/2008); grandchildren, Kim and Kirk Stratton; sisters, Mary Ceynar, Agnes Becicka, Emma Dubishar, and Blanche Ceynar; and brothers, Frank, Joe and Tony Roshek.
