Hacker, Brandon J.
Brandon J. Hacker, 22, of Anita, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, near Atlantic, the result of an auto accident. Services at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. Bill Randles will officiate. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Jeff and Stacey of Anita; his mother and stepfather, Denise and Tim Yuengel of Belleville, Ill.; three sisters, Holly (Joe) Nassif and Kira Hacker, all of Cedar Rapids, and JoAnn Hacker of Anita; three brothers, Jesse of Cedar Rapids, and Jeffery and Aidan, both of Anita; and a stepbrother, Brandon Jayne of Belle Plaine. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Sondra Cantrell of Lisbon, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, an uncle and an aunt.
Brandon was born on Nov. 25, 1986, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Jeffery and Denise Cantrell Hacker. Brandon worked for R& R Insulation in Manning. He was a member of NORML and a volunteer for Hospice. Brandon was an artist as well as a very talented and avid guitar player. He enjoyed photography, the beauty of nature and time spent with his many many friends and beloved family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Brandon's name.
