As a grandfather, you were not only my grandpa, but my role model, my best friend, and the one person who could always put a smile on my face. This all happened way too fast and I never thought I'd ever lose you. These past few days have been so surreal as I've sat with you in the living room and held your hand. You fought this battle and gave everything you had. Some of the times we had together will be remembered by me forever. The impact you had on not only me but others you met was incredible. I'll never forget about that huge smile of yours that would brighten a dark room and your scruffy beard when I got a hug goodbye. I love you more than anything, and I know you are finally at peace and no longer in pain. Again I love you, grandpa Chic, and you will never be forgotten.
