Rayetta Fetter
On Thursday, May 3, 2012, at 3:49 a.m. thousands of angels gathered to sing “Glorious Glorious,” a new saint (believer) was selected to join Jesus, our Savior, in heaven.
Rayetta Fetter, 64, of North Port, Fla., Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Goshen, Ind., died from cancer and its complications.
Rayetta's parents were the late Raymond and Loretta (Anker) Dunker of Reynolds, Ind. Rayetta was married to Ron Yoder of Goshen. On Oct. 8, 1995, she married Gordon Fetter in Marion, Iowa. He survives in Cedar Rapids.
She is also survived by four children, Rachel (Mike) Stahley, Jon (Lisa) Yoder, Jackie Fetter and Jordan (Sarah) Fetter; six grandchildren, Evan (Emily) Stahley, Katie Stahley, Morgan Stahley, Olivia Stahley, Megan and Nolan Yoder; two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Brynn Stahley; sister, Trudy (James) Krintz; niece, Joetta (Derrick) Houghton; and nephews, Wes (Rachael) Krintz and James (Michelle) Krintz.
Rayetta was a senior director with Mary Kay Cosmetics for 38 years, earning many awards, including several pink Cadillacs.
She was very active in International Exchange with the PAX program. Ninety-seven students from more than 20 countries called her “Mom.”Gordan and Rayetta were involved in many mission trips helping people in countries hit by disasters.They traveled to 27 countries, visiting their exchange students and families.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.(EDT) until time of services at 1 p.m. (EDT) Monday, May 7, at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home in Monticello, Ind. The Rev. Tom Fogle will officiate. Burial will follow at St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Reynolds, Ind. A memorial celebration will be held Wednesday, May 9, at 4:30 p.m. (CDT) at Cedar Valley Bible Church in Cedar Rapids. A meal for friends and family will follow.
Memorial contributions may be given to benefit orphans c/o Cedar Valley Bible Church, 3636 Cottage Grove Ave., Cedar Rapids, IA 52403; or New Day Christian Church, 202212 Peachland Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33954. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
