Dickman, Helen Kathleen (Moore)
Helen Kathleen (Moore) Dickman, 90, passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Harmony Assisted Living, Manitowoc, Wis. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at Peace United Church of Christ, Monticello. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello. Visitation will be held at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation also will be held one hour before the service Thursday.

Helen is survived by one daughter, Trudy (Jerry) Tiedt, Manitowoc, Wis.; one son, Allan (Susan) Dickman, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; five grandchildren, Jeremy and Megan Tiedt, Chicago, Katie (Stephen) Ferguson, Argyle, Texas, Laura and Cai Dickman, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; and one great-grandchild, Molly Ferguson.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Helen Kathleen Moore was born Dec. 26, 1921, at John McDonald Hospital, Monticello. She was the daughter of Neman and Katie (Ambuehl) Moore. Helen grew up on a farm three miles North of Monticello and attended school at Lovell #1, graduating from Monticello High School in 1940. Helen married Melvin Dickman at the Evangelical and Reformed Church (Peace United Church of Christ), Monticello, on Oct. 23, 1946.
Together Melvin and Helen lived and farmed where Helen grew up. Helen loved her farm and spent over 88 years there. In 2006, it became a Century Farm. Helen was a homemaker and also worked with the school lunch program.
Helen was a member of Peace United Church of Christ and the church Ladies Guild. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, traveling in the motor home, the Lasso-E- camper club, photography and spending time with family. In later years, Helen especially enjoyed her cats, jigsaw puzzles, music and bingo.
