Survived by his wife and constant companion, Carole A. Long; three stepchildren, Cheryl (John) Wingate, Lee (Gayle) Harper, and Lisa Beard; five grandchildren, Paul Beard, Michael and Melanie Harper, Michelle and Cory Wingate; and the apple of his eye, great-granddaughter, Rosalie Wingate. Also survived by brothers, John and Delmar Long, and sister, Charlotte Blevins.
