Annette M. Meyer, 68, of Marengo, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at
her home. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with the Rev. Lisa Crow officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. The family will receive friends after 10 a.m. on Saturday until the service time. A memorial fund has been established.
Annette is survived by her son, Edward Lewis Meyer Jr. (Kristine Tomash) of Iowa City; her sister, Trudy Cunningham (Carl) of Hannibal, Mo.; three brothers, Glenn Seeley Jr. (Linda) and Darcie Seeley (Cindy), all of Anamosa, and Chris Seeley of Hannibal; nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Diane Seeley.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Leslie Seeley; and two brothers in infancy.
Annette Madaline Seeley Meyer was born Jan. 26, 1950, in Viola, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and Ruth Boots Seeley Sr. She attended Anamosa High School with the Class of 1968 and married Edward Lewis Meyer on Oct. 8, 1969. The couple were blessed with one son, Edward Jr. They moved to Conroy and eventually settled in Marengo.
Annette baby-sat and cared for many children throughout her working years. She was an animal lover and especially loved cats. She has been a big Elvis fan since her early years and had an extensive Elvis collection. Annette was a very loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was loved and will be missed by those who knew her.
