Mary Jean Plotz, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Heritage Specialty Care following a short illness. In honor of Mary's wishes, there will be no services. Private family inurnment will be held at Czech National Cemetery. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is serving the family.
Mary was born May 8, 1932, in Norway, the daughter of Rudolph John and Elizabeth Vera (McGuire) Plotz. She graduated from Norway High School and then worked at Wilson and Company in the office for over 30 years.
Mary is survived by her brothers, John (Trudy) Plotz of Cedar Rapids, Parlyn (Helen) Plotz of Marengo and Eldred Plotz of Walford; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Leo (Betty) Plotz, Gerald (Donna) Plotz and Melvin Plotz; and sister-in-law, Leona Plotz.
Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy in Mary's name.
