Rowley, Birdella K. 'Trudy'
Birdella K. “Tudy” Rowley, 66, of 25 E. Zeller St., North Liberty, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at Mercy Hospice Care in Iowa City. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lensing's Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Rd., Coralville, with Pastor Nick Timmerman officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, North Liberty. Memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
Tudy was born March 8, 1944, in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of Arnold L. and Thelma I. (Earwicker) Allie. Raised in Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley, California, Tudy moved to Marshalltown in 1977, living there until 1992 when she moved to Iowa City.
Tudy was a homemaker and enjoyed bird-watching from the front window of her home. She especially cherished time spent with her four dogs.
She is survived by her sons, Allen Rowley and Danial (Darla) Rowley, all of Marshalltown; daughters, Sherry McGrew and Tammy Rutherford, both of North Liberty; eight grandchildren, Brian, Brad, Jeffrey, Justin, Tina, Tonya, Yolonda and Vanessa; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry Allie of Houston, Texas.
Tudy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lois.
